JCCSF and the Economy
How We’re Helping People in Difficult Times
Thanks to your loyalty and generous support, the JCCSF is able to respond to the needs of the Bay Area community and enrich people’s lives.
Because enriching a life shouldn’t have to cost a fortune –
We provide high-quality, free and low-cost programs.
Throughout the year at the JCCSF, people attend daytime events, lifelong learning classes, lectures with Nobel Prize-winners and events with acclaimed artists – all at prices well below those charged by downtown venues. BookFest, a free event, gives people a chance to meet beloved and esteemed international authors. Last season, writer and philosopher Bernard-Henri Lévy spoke to a capacity crowd at the free Pritzker Family Lecture. Browse these pages for free and low-cost arts, lectures and family events.
When financial difficulty finds people on the outside looking in –
We offer assistance so people can be involved.
The current economy affects us all, but unfortunate circumstances should not keep people from participating in the JCCSF community. Because the JCCSF has such a positive effect on individuals, couples and families, we want everyone in the Bay Area to take advantage of all we offer. We also want people to continue their enjoyment of the JCCSF in spite of economic setback. To make participation easier for families, we also offer convenient, low-cost childcare. In response to an uncertain job market –
We offer opportunities to help those seeking work.
In addition to career-skills classes and seminars, the JCCSF has partnered with JVS to provide strategy and networking opportunities in order to help people weather the challenges of a struggling economy. Click here to learn more about Job Strategy Café, and many other upcoming programs.
